Brouwerij De 7 Deugden: brewing beer without distance
16 August 2026 · 4 min read
An Amsterdam social enterprise where the brewery floor offers low-threshold access to work.
Brouwerij De 7 Deugden is a social enterprise that would rather scrap the word 'distance' altogether. Their mission: a job market with low-threshold access to work, for people for whom a job elsewhere isn't currently a given.
On the brewery floor, that means working together, learning, and getting appreciation for what you do. The brewery believes in a society where talent isn't left unused - and proves it every week with a team that's often written off too quickly elsewhere.
There's a tasting room, there are tours, and they're even given in sign language. Inclusion here isn't a marketing term but an organising principle.
The beer itself has character: brewed with its own mind, made to be tasted and talked about.
Choose this beer for your Christmas box and you're giving away two things at once: a good glass of beer and a job in Amsterdam. Feel free to mention that on the card.
