Thijsthee: a chef who started making iced tea to fight waste

Thijs is a chef, and you can taste it. His iced tea wasn't dreamt up behind a marketing desk but in a kitchen, where balance of flavour matters more than a sugar spike.

The products are 100% natural and now fully organic. No artificial flavourings, no colourings - just tea, fruit and patience.

He's also an active campaigner against food waste: ingredients that would otherwise be thrown away get a second life in his bottles.

The company is based on Gedempt Hamerkanaal in Amsterdam-Noord, among the workshops and breweries where the city has housed its makers in recent years.

In our boxes, the iced tea is the surprise for those who don't drink alcohol: just as festive, just as local, and on a warm December day even tastier.
